Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital is an 86 bed inpatient psychiatric hospital in Panama City, Florida which provides treatment options to children, adolescents, adults, active duty service members and their families, and Veterans. Our specialized multidisciplinary treatment services are provided by highly trained psychiatrists, therapists, addiction counselors, nurses, and activities therapists. Panama City, FL is located on the panhandle of northwest Florida on beautiful St. Andrews Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) provides direct clinical services for psychiatric patients according to established protocols and utilizes evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the supervising physician. Functions independently to perform individual assessments, diagnostic functions, specialized risk assessments, and make critical decisions regarding a wide variety of health situations, including high risk and crisis situations.

 Essential Job Duties:

• Performs medical assessments for individuals under his/her care
• Completes documentation necessary to address patients hospitalized under civil commitment statutes
• Provides individual therapy, family therapy and/or medication management
• Appropriately requests consultation when indicated.

• Actively participates in treatment team decisions
