The Department of Anesthesiology at Westchester Medical Center, an 895-bed hospital in Valhalla, NY (35 minutes north of New York City), is currently recruiting an Academic Attending in General Anesthesia and Regional Anesthesiologist to join the section of Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Services.
Academic Attending – General Anesthesia
The successful candidate will have strong academic interests, as well as a desire to treat the region's most critically ill patients. We are seeking an individual who has completed an Anesthesiology-based residency and has a proven track record of academic and clinical duties.
Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Services
Ideal candidates will be either certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, or actively participating in the certification process, and be able to obtain a New York State Medical License, with strong skill in regional anesthesia. Regional fellowship trained is a plus.
Candidates for both positions should have:
Board Certification in General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery
Active New York State License and/or eligibility to obtain
Leadership experience with a strong academic interest
Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills
