Boulder Community Health is seeking a full-time Compensation Analyst to join our team. In this Human Resources role, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing compensation programs and policies to support the compensation strategy of Boulder Community Health. You’ll conduct compensation analysis across the organization and evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs. The Compensation Analyst will make recommendations to maintain or correct competitive market position. You’ll also be responsible for evaluating job pay, managing job description library and market data repository processes and creating presentations, communications and training materials.

At least four years of compensation work experience. Healthcare compensation experience preferred.
Must be experienced in creating job descriptions, completing compensation surveys and using market data to price jobs.
Must be experienced in forecasting and administering organization’s wide pay changes.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
Strong listening, writing, speaking and presenting communication skills.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills that have been used in problem solving, compensation analysis and program evaluation.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including experience in using worksheets for complex calculations.
Ability to establish good working relationships within Human Resources and with employees and managers throughout the organization.
Must work in collaboration with Human Resources staff and all levels of management and staff throughout the organization.
Administers the compensation program for the organization according to established policies and guidelines. This will include annual pay increases, salary ranges, hiring rates and promotional increases, special pay practices and other compensation related policies and practices.
Prepares compensation survey data and submits it to vendors.
Collects market salary data from vendors, analyzes it to determine appropriate job matches and populates market pay spreadsheets or database. Determines appropriate pay ranges for each position based on either market data or internal job equity/relevance.
Makes recommendations to maintain or correct market position. Complies with all applicable regulations, including wage and hour laws.
Trains managers on job description creation and revisions.
Evaluates new job descriptions, determines salary range based on market and FLSA status; inputs new position information into API and posts position description on Scoop and Hiring Manager.
Reviews job description changes in a timely manner, makes edits and re-evaluates market data as appropriate. Posts updates on Scoop and on Hiring Manager. Coordinates changes in job requirements with Business Partner and HR Operations Manager to determine timeline for assuring incumbents are compliant with any new job requirements.
Manages job description library on Scoop and assures they are always up to date.
Creates compensation training and communication materials for New Leader Orientation and other management training.
Calculates and implements annual salary adjustments and market salary adjustments. Effectively communicates same with employees and managers and assures increases are accurately input into API.
Inputs new pay ranges/market data into API and assigns appropriate Risk and EOC/SOC codes.
Determines hiring guidelines in conjunction with recruiters, Business Partners and Management Council. Works with recruiters and Business Partners on exceptions to guidelines and obtains appropriate approvals when necessary.
Evaluates the effectiveness of the compensation program and makes recommendations for changes.
Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.
