PRN Registered Nurses for Baylor positions needed: ? Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; Prefer one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse but not required ? Prefer six (6) months in psychiatric nursing , but not required ? Knowledge of current nursing procedures, the nursing process, medications and their correct administration ? Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia ? Current CPR Certification required ? Displays basic knowledge of treatment procedures and interventions ? Basic knowledge of abnormal psychology as typically found in the child and adolescent ? Application of this nursing care; basic knowledge of medical terminology especially those terms associated with child and adolescent behavioral issues ? The Registered Nurse (RN) will: ?Assess patients through a systematic process of continuously engaging in an open dialogue with patient, the patient's family/caretakers and the appropriate health care providers. ?Follow daily schedule, to include school and groups, reporting any and all pertinent information throughout the day to other personnel as appropriate. ?Administer medications in a safe, accurate and timely manner utilizing proper medication administration protocols. ?Collect , analyze and communicate information regarding the patient's physical, psycho-social, environmental, self-care, educational and anticipated discharge planning needs. ?Develop a comprehensive outline of care with specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning. ?Monitor patients following nursing policies and procedures. ?Communicate changes in patient's condition with other disciplines and attending physician. ?Participate in emergency codes necessary to the unit and facility safe operation. ?Review patient's records for accuracy and ensure that treatment plan and progress notes clearly reflect progress of patient and family. ?Document patient behaviors, condition and progress on a daily basis by recording data in the prescribed format. ?Record progress notes in the medical record accurately reflect behavioral data as well as activities.
