The Penn State Health Children's Hospital is offering exciting physician opportunities for 2 clinician-educator neonatologists at our Hershey campus. The successful candidates will join the collegial faculty of Penn State Children’s Hospital and the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, which is poised for an exciting period of growth under the leadership of the new Pediatrics Chair, Leslie Walker-Harding, MD, FAAP, FSAHM, and the new Division Chief, Jeffrey R. Kaiser, MD, MA, FAAP. Additionally, a new state-of-the-art NICU is under development and is planned to open in early 2020.

Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSA), several advanced core research facilities and resources, biostatistical support, Institute for Personalized Medicine, and Pediatric Clinical Research Office with research coordinators and nurses.
Our PhDs and clinicians study vagal dysregulation in NEC, neonatal abstinence syndrome and physiological responses to withdrawal, infant biobehavioral stress responses, heart rate variability, neonatal inflammatory lung disease and biomarkers of BPD and pulmonary hypertension, surfactant regulation of immune cell function, development of a noninvasive device to stabilize the premature infant chest wall, neonatal neurology, neonatal glucose metabolism and disturbances, rapid whole exome sequencing of infants with congenital anomalies, and ECMO.
What We're Seeking:
Must be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Neonatology.
Have completed or currently be enrolled in an accredited neonatal-perinatal fellowship.
Outstanding patient care qualities, including experience with ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, infants with all surgical conditions, and all modes of ventilation (including NAVA).
A track record of scholarship, and a deep commitment to excellence in education, research, and quality improvement.
Vision and drive to work in state-of-the-art programs.
