Summary of Job Function: The LGBT Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Gender Equity intern will serve member of the Diversity & Inclusion team at MMC. The intern will assist the Director of Diversity & Inclusion with designing, developing and implementing programs and initiatives that serve the LGBTQ+ community in Monmouth & Ocean Counties. The main focuses of the internship's strategic work to ensure MMC provide culturally competent care, increase equal access and equitable health care to the LGBTQ+ and other underserved communities. The role will assist the D&I Director in planning community outreach educational event to address health disparities and social impact.
