Neonatologist Needed For Our Level-III NICU Block Scheduling Amazing Sign-On Bonus Great Commuter Opportunity!! Mednax is offering a unique opportunity for a BC/BE neonatologist to join a flourishing practice in Upstate New York. The position would rotate between two busy NICUs in the region. ***To Enhance the Deal, We are offering a $50,000 Sign-on Bonus along with Tuition Assistance*** Students must be in the last 18 months of their training program Level III-Unit - Regional Perinatal Center serving an eight county area in the Finger Lakes region of New York
- Hospital averages 1,500 births per year
- The NICU has an average daily census of about 15 neonates
- Approximately 15 to 20 percent of the unit's 300 annual admissions are transports from our referral hospitals that serve the population of the surrounding counties
- Services include conventional ventilation and HFOV
- Excellent nursing, nurse practitioner, perinatal and a wide range of pediatric subspecialty support is available
- Block scheduling to allow for remote living opportunities
- No Relocation required for those residing in the New York State & Pennsylvania Area, Relocation is available, if necessary.

Level-II Unit - 10 bed, Level-II NICU with approximately 200 admissions per year. Being the only Level-II NICU in the Mohawk Valley, the unit receives transports from Level-III and Level-IV NICUs from nearby cities
- With approximately 2,000 deliveries a year, the neonatology service attends 40% of deliveries and covers 80% of newborn nursery babies
- Perinatology and pediatric subspecialties are available by consult, including ophthalmology and pediatric cardiology. Telemedicine capabilities are also available
- New state-of-the-art hospital with single bed NICU is being developed in order to combine the two local hospitals in the community. Scheduled to be completed by 2022.
- In-house call room allows for either local or remote living opportunities
- 7 days on / 7 days off schedule that affords an ideal life-work balance
The unit is within a 30 minute drive from the Adirondack Park, the largest park in the lower contiguous states.
