1. Accurately processes medical records according to assigned job procedures with attention to ensuring the following information with the record is complete. Accurately prepares the record for the scanning and analysis of the electronic health record.
2. Demonstrates a complete knowledge of and acts appropriately regarding the following aspects of the departmental confidentiality policy: medical records do not leave the hospital except in response to subpoena or court order, confidential information is not discussed outside the department, all request for medical information must be made in writing and received in medical records with the appropriate patient authorization and the medical records must be furnished within 30 days of the request unless otherwise noted for urgent care. Medical Records should not be given to patient care departments other than for treatment, information may only be released over the telephone to a physician or other hospital in an emergency situation after verification of the requestor
3.Demonstrates complete knowledge of the computer. Accesses and utilizes the available computerized information to complete job responsibilities in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Accurately inputs data into the computer following the proper procedures.--
4. Performs assigned duties efficiently and within the time frames specified. Maintains a consistent level of productivity daily, based upon the minimum standards of the job function. Uses work time efficiently.
5. Performs work according to hospital department policies. Reports anything outside the normal processes to the HIS Coordinator and Director.
