The Nurse Navigator for ENT / Head & Neck Program, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, coordinates, directs and evaluates all team responsibilities to ensure the success of the ENT / Head & Neck Program.
Serves as the coordinator between the patient and caregivers prior to initial evaluation, during treatment and during surveillance as indicated by the disease specific team.
Serves as a clinical expert to hospital staff. Meets qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range.
Participates in research.
Works under the administrative direction of the Operational Management team of the Otolaryngology Department and the clinical direction of the physician members of the multidisciplinary team.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximizes patient and family satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduated from an approved School of Nursing. BSN required.
Requires Registered Nurse currently licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible to be licensed.
Must participate in continuing education activities to maintain and enhance knowledge.
Requires at least two years of clinical experience, preferably in Otolaryngology or Oncology related field.

Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Considerable physical and emotional stamina required to deal with stressful aspects of ENT / Head & Neck patient needs.
