San Ramon Regional Medical Center began serving residents of the San Ramon Valley and its surrounding communities in 1990. Located on a hillside overlooking the valley, we are a 123-bed, acute-care hospital, primary stroke center, and a cardiac heart surgery hospital. Produces and creates cardiovascular diagnostic ultrasound digital images. Sonographer utilizes a variety of technical modalities and specific procedures for ultrasound diagnosis. Responsible for patient care and their safety. Assists physicians during procedures. Assumes responsibility for job related procedures and equipment. Participates in department orientation of new staff members. Demonstrates the ability to perform studies on pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics patients. Performs all types of Cardiac Stress testing, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor, Holter monitor, Holter monitor scanning, Tilt Tables, Transesophageal Echocardiograms, Echocardiograms, and Electrocardiograms. Has the knowledge to report full diagnostic reports using the Cardiology Pac�s system, The Case 8000, Muse system and the EMR. Performs Electroencephalograms under the supervision of the Neurologist. Works cooperatively with members of the health care team to maintain standards of professional Cardiovascular Ultrasound studies, Cardiac testing and Electroencephalograms in the clinical setting.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Ultrasound program

Minimum Experience/Skills:

One (1) year of recent clinical experience in ultrasound in an acute care setting

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

Current BLS certification for Healthcare providers (AHA certified)

Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification (ARDCS)

Effective January 1, 2015 Technologist must possess RDCS or CCI certification within six (6) months of hire/transfer
