Technical Analyst Lead

JOB TITLE: Technical Analyst Lead LOCATION: Centerpoint Pittston or Columbia Mall Bloomsburg DEPARTMENT: IT Operations WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)
JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates Information Technology tasks of all team members. Analyzes and responds to user requested new development and system modifications. Designs technical solutions to information problems. Performs technical tasks related to project completion, including problem analysis, program development and testing, documentation, and implementation.
Functions as the primary I.T. user contact for GHS departments or divisions. Performs project management and coordination functions.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES:
Responsible for administering and managing all aspects of HIPAA EDI transaction processing including implementations, upgrades, and maintenance for new and existing trading partners.
Keep abreast of industry trends, compliance, regulatory and security changes as it relates to Healthcare EDI.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Experience using FHG for Trading Partner Management, XML, and XSLT. Need to able to map to Facets Keywords.
Experience in HIPAA logical mapping and CAQH CORE Operating rules implementation.
Extensive experience with healthcare related EDI transactions sets – 837D, 837P, 837I, 835, 834, 277ca, 999, TA1, 270/271, 276/277, 278, 275 and HIPAA code sets - Healthcare Provider Taxonomy codes, CPT/HCPCS codes, HIPPS codes, ABC codes and ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS.
Effective identification of EDI related business problems, assessment of proposed solutions to those problems, and understanding the needs of business partners.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Excellent technical and analytical skills, including strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
Thorough understanding and proficiency working with 4010 and 5010 HIPAA Transaction code sets.
Demonstrated record of effective communication and working relationships with providers, clearinghouses, trading partners, and co-workers.
Knowledge of regulatory, security, and compliance standards as part of HIPPA, HITECH Act and Administrative Simplification section of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Experience working with and supporting EDI validation and translation software applications.
Experience in designing and implementing end to end EDI solutions.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to other technical personnel.
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as in a Team environment.
Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required; or technical diploma / technical certification in a field related to the position required. Minimum of nine years of full-time experience in a related information technology/application/user support role required.
If suitably experienced candidate cannot be found, applicants who meet the basic qualifications but possess fewer years of experience will be considered for hire at a lower level. Salary would commensurate with experience.
