As the Paramedic Program Director at the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care, you’ll be part of the west coast’s leading emergency and prehospital academic center. The Center’s Paramedic Program is part of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine and serves the educational needs of the EMS community, providing full and part-time paramedic programs, preparatory and refresher programs. Our educators, researchers, providers and administrative team are the thought leaders in prehospital medicine.
You will manage the day-to-day operations of the paramedic program. This includes:
·Supervising faculty development
·Overseeing curriculum development
·Teaching and managing the lecture schedule
·Overseeing student progress
·Managing clinical and field internships
·Supervising psychomotor skills and competency verification
·Overseeing distance education programs
·Coordinating the learning management system
·Developing and maintaining program partnerships
·Managing program budget and accreditation
We’re seeking a customer focused, team oriented and highly flexible professional with current California licensure as a Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Physician’s Assistant or Physician. You must also possess:
·Master’s in health services, education or related field
·A minimum of five years of clinical experience, including experience managing clinical education programs
·Previous experience supervising staff and maintaining program accreditation
·Provider and Instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS, BLS and PHTLS
·Extensive background in managing $1M+ budgets
·Ability to offer spiritual/cultural sensitivity to diverse populations
·Valid unrestricted California drivers’ license and personal vehicle
·Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekends and travel occasionally
·Computer proficiency with MC Office
·Excellent communication, prioritizing, negotiation and stress management skills
