The Program Specialist works within the Business Integration department to advance MemorialCare’s commitment to integrating key service lines across the system so that access, quality, and efficiency are optimized. Reporting to the Director of Business Integration, the Specialist works with oversight from the Program Manager and Clinical Integration (CI) initiative sponsors to support the advancement of assigned service lines to helps drive key strategic initiatives related to business growth, integration engagement, and operational optimization activities across the healthcare system. The Program Specialist is expected to work independently assisting in the management of overall initiative implementations, timelines, key milestones, and resources. Will be responsible for regular project status and post-implementation project reporting. The Program Specialist will help gather data and analyze information for high-level research and reporting to be used for leadership’s business strategy analysis as well as for the executive level communications. Support work with departments to define key processes and coordinate with team to implement and manage processes. Is flexible in work assignments accepting duties not otherwise assigned.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job
Work directly with Program Manager, executive sponsors and cross-functional team members to define the scope and objectives of key strategic initiatives
Utilizes independent thinking and decision-making as part of project scoping and planning.
Manage all phases of strategic initiatives to ensure achievement of objectives, timelines, key milestones and deliverables, and overall success
Manage the successful delivery of Clinical Integration efforts, leveraging program management fundamentals including, planning, tracking and achieving integration engagement milestones as well as risk mitigation.
Facilitate Clinical Integration program management, including status reporting and coordination across multiple concurrent activities.
Coordinate the implementation and management of program management software applications such as document repositories and project management applications; provide access and training on assigned applications to team members
Create and maintain workstream program management tools and related documents in program management and other software applications
Engage with internal and external parties to collect information, materials, processes, and specifications to support evaluation, diligence, and integration efforts
Schedule, plan, and lead project meetings
Independently run new and existing reports, analyze key data and share findings with the Clinical Integration and project teams
Support work with departments to define key processes and coordinate with team to implement and manage processes.
Coordinate, develop and assist with refining Clinical Integration systems, tools and processes.
Support engagements with leadership, internal and external stakeholders to support clinical integration activities
Prepare supporting materials for engagements

A minimum of 3 years’ experience with coordinating and leading the implementation of key strategic initiatives in healthcare or business strategy environment, preferred.
Must have demonstrated mastery of Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as workstream program management tools.
Must have excellent organizational skills and a proven background in working on multiple initiatives and with executive leadership teams.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior management, vendors, physician practices, clinical staff, and other outside entities.
