This position plans and provides operational, financial, managerial and/or clinical support to patients, staff and director within the respiratory and rehabilitation department. This position supervises employees and participates in selection, orientation, counseling, evaluation and staff scheduling. Maintains a depth and breadth of clinical competency to assess the delivery of area of clinical training and participates in quality improvement processes.
Manages professional or supervisory employees. Hires, trains, conducts performance reviews, and directs the workflow of designated staff.
Makes decisions within approved operating plans and objectives and within functional policies and precedents. May manage budget for large and/or complex projects or programs.
Sets direction and resolves problems. Resolves increasingly complex customer complaints or problems.
Interacts primarily with direct reports, supervisor, customers, peer managers, supervisors peers, patients and physicians.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Must hold a current license or certification in their respective discipline. BLS certification required.
Must have a working knowledge of hospital operations, medical/nursing staff procedures, hospital and community resources as typically achieved through 3 years of technical experience and 2 years of managerial experience. Requires excellent leadership skills and an ability to interact well across departments, facilities and organizations. Excellent organizational, human relations, and communication skills are required to maintain good rapport and effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Prefer RT experience.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
