Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
Assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions during the designated shift Functions as a resource person for staff members and assists in necessary education of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided when s/he is on duty. Makes decisions regarding activities within these areas based on clinical guidelines and protocols. Establish and maintain excellent Customer Service with all customers, including patients, visitors, hospital employees, and physicians. Coordination of activities and staffing patterns on L&D and OB Emergency Department. Promotes inter and intra-departmental cooperation and communication. Ability to lead and manage others.
