| Summary The Paramedic is a licensed Paramedic and functions under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse, Department Director, Clinical Manager of Emergency Department, and physician(s). He/she assists with patient care by performing clinical & supportive functions that he/she has documented competency to perform. The Paramedic adheres to policy, procedures & established standards of practice.

Qualifications:
Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Certification
Experience Preferred - One (1) year of Emergency Services experience preferred.
Certifications Required: State of Florida Paramedic License BLS and ACLS certification through approved American Heart Association program CPI within three (3) months of hire into position.
Other Qualifications Complete blood draw competency within three (3) months of hire into position. Complete EKG competency within three (3) months of hire into the position.
