Community Gastroenterology Opportunity

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our organization in western Massachusetts.

Position Highlights –

• Join our integrated Division of Gastroenterology which consists of 13 GIs and 4 advanced practitioners who practice in several locations across western MA.
• Practice general gastroenterology at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer MA with 2 other gastroenterologists. 
• Opportunity to spend some clinical time at nearby Baystate Medical Center, our academic hospital, for those interested. Potential to teach our GI fellows if desired. 
• Enjoy practicing in a community hospital with a team that is dedicated to providing excellent patient-centered care to the local community. Excellent support from the larger GI division.  Ability to participate in academic programs, conferences and lectures at the main campus and partner with specialists.
• Leadership is committed to your professional satisfaction and work/life balance. Call is 1:4 weekends.

Qualifications:  ABMS BC/BE in Gastroenterology with clinical focus on general gastroenterology. Strong commitment to collaboration, courage, quality and lifelong learning is important.

Baystate Wing Hospital (BWH) is a 74-bed hospital which operates in close partnership with Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Center in the Palmer, ­ MA area.  We deliver high quality, patient-centered care with physicians who specialize in 45 medical disciplines, including adult and family medicine, general surgery, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics.  Our close affiliation with nearby Baystate Medical Center / University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate means our patients and providers have a vast team of academic generalists and specialists at their fingertips.  We offer a diverse culture that provides outstanding opportunities for physicians to start and advance their career.
