The Director of Compliance assists in the coordination, research, investigation, monitoring, auditing, education and resolution of compliance issues identified by the MemorialCare organization under its formal Board Approved Compliance & Business Ethics Program. This position will interact frequently with department directors, managers & key individuals throughout the Memorial Health System involved in compliance & ethics related matters. The duties of this position require sound independent decision making capabilities, excellent written & verbal communication skills, ability to influence, and familiarity with healthcare clinical and business operations
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Perform investigations of compliance related concerns raised through the corporate compliance hotline
Coordinate annual system wide compliance training
Conduct internal compliance reviews to identify organizational compliance exposure and recommend/implement changes to mitigate exposure.
Develop &/or conduct employee, vendor & physician training on compliance related topics
Work collaboratively with hospital management and campus compliance liaisons in the
establishment of compliance auditing and monitoring systems
Develop and maintain a board and executive management compliance reporting dashboard
Assist in the development and modification of corporate and department specific policies andprocedures & guidance documents
Stay abreast of compliance related issues, topics and training. Stay current with changing legal
statutes & regulatory requirements. Attend training and educational seminars as necessary
