The Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville KY, is seeking board certified/eligible Rheumatologist to serve our Veteran patients. We are looking for a physician candidate interested in personal growth and career development in our mission arms of excellent care, and superior teaching. The closing date of this announcement is 9/30/2021. Qualified applicants will be referred bi-weekly until a selection is made. The position will be closed when a selection has been made by the hiring official. The Rheumatologist is responsible for providing Inpatient and Outpatient Rheumatology consults and follow-up, evaluation of patients with a variety of Rheumatologic conditions, and the performance of Rheumatology procedures. Some of the functions performed by the Rheumatologist include, but are not limited to: Outpatient evaluation and management of rheumatologic condition, consult management using various modality of care- i.e VA Video Connect, Telephone, E-consult Management of patients requiring biologics and IV bisphosphonates. Reviews no-shows, contacting patients for abnormal lab tests, review of requests for refill. Provides ongoing care for patients with a wide variety of Rheumatologic conditions Work Schedule: Variable (Negotiable during hiring process) Financial Disclosure Report: Required
