The Hershel "Woody'' Williams VA Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Hematologist/Oncologist to assume a staff position. The Physician will have responsibilities including coverage of outpatient clinics, inpatient rounds, supervision of inpatient as well as outpatient chemotherapy and infusion procedures; conduct bone marrow aspirates and biopsies and answer inpatient/outpatient consultations. Other duties include, but are not limited to: Diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with hematology and oncology diseases according to standard, usual and acceptable or customary methods and techniques in the outpatient and inpatient settings. Conducting bone marrow biopsy and aspirations Providing medical oversight for the Chemotherapy Infusion Room. Reports to the Chief of Medical Service. Cooperates and Participates in medical duties or functions related to quality of care and peer review along with improvement/performance improvement activities at the direct of the Chief of Medical Service. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (Day Shift) Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay) Recruitment/Relocation may be authorized for highly qualified applicants. PCS may be authorized for highly qualified applicants. EDRP: This position is may be eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan reimbursement program within VHA.
