The RN must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as a team member and must be able to communicate, listen, report and gather crucial data to enhance patient outcomes. The Float Pool COVID-19 Nurse will float between the Acute Care units 2W, 4W, 5E, and 6W. This is a temporary position, not to exceed one year. Duties include but are not limited to: Completes admission assessments on assigned patients Reassesses patient condition at the frequency required for the assigned unit Verifies physician orders using electronic health records system Complete patient care plans according to policy Plans for discharge/transfer of patients including completing discharge/transfer note in the electronic health records system Administers medications per policy and documents using Bar Code Medication Administration (BCMA) Provides patient care to assigned patients during shift Functions independently in performing complex treatments and procedures Provides education to patients and families Work Schedule: Evenings: 3:30 p.m.-12 a.m.; Nights: 7:30 p.m.- 8:00 a.m., 11:30 p.m.- 8 a.m. Required to work weekends in rotation (usually every other). Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: Annual leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per biweekly pay period; Sick leave at the rate of four (4) hours per biweekly pay period; 10 paid Federal holidays per year.
