EXECELLENT PRIMARY CARE PROVIDER (PCP) OPPORTUNITIES IN THE PORTLAND METRO AREA – PORTLAND, OR
The Veterans Affairs Portland Healthcare System in Portland, OR, is seeking full-time board certified/board eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physicians to join our Primary Care Health Team. The primary care provider will function as a highly skilled, independent care provider in the management of patients, you’ll be part of an interdisciplinary care team with access to state-of-the-art medicine and some of the most advanced medical technologies available.
The Health Care Clinics operates under a PACT Model (Patient Aligned Care Team). Together with his or her team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LPN, and a Medical Support Assistant, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately 1200 patients. The PACT provides comprehensive care for our Veteran population, including the diagnoses, care, and treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. Common diagnoses encountered include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain. Position is Monday thru Friday, no weekends, and no holidays.
VAPORHCS has a close relationship with our academic affiliate, Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), to which it is physically connected by a sky bridge. The VAPORHCS Primary Care Division has a unique relationship with the Department of Hospital and Specialty Medicine and OHSU, with an Internal Medicine Resident clinic. VAPORHCS has a robust research program, with over $32 million in grant funding. VAPORHCS is a leader in high quality, cost effective clinical care, having been recently recognized as among the best by CMS Hospital Compare, recipient of a Joint Commission Top Performer Award on Key Quality Measures and a National Center for Patient Safety Cornerstone Silver Level Award. VAPORHCS is also a Magnet Recognition Program Facility. VAPORHCS and Primary Care are committed to innovation and process improvement and utilizes the VA-TAMMCS (Team-Aim-Map-Measure-Change-Sustain) model to actively study current practices and to develop evidence-based improvements.

Expected Salary range for well qualifiedPhysician will be competitive for the academic rankwith consideration given to candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience; and may include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus. Selected candidate may be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment.
