The Emory Department of Pediatrics and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta are seeking Neonatal Hospitalists for Senior Associate Faculty (limited-term, non-GME training positions). As a member of the Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics, the successful candidates will report to Dr. Poindexter as Division Director, and to Dr. Lucky Jain, as Chair.
Job Description
Devote 1.0 effort to clinical service within the Division of Neonatology, primarily seeing patients in the NICU at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Your clinical service would consist of 168 hours per month (14 12-hr shifts or 7 24-hr shifts or some combination thereof) as a member of the advanced practice provider (APP) team in the NICU. You would be responsible for clinical management of approximately 8-10 infants and providing clinical service under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist.
Devote appropriate effort to education of fellows, residents, and medical students by sharing in the teaching responsibilities of the Neonatology Division while working in the NICU and by teaching in other venues as opportunity arises.
When possible, attend the Department of Pediatrics Grand Rounds at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
Provide exemplary clinical service and assure that patients cared for by you only receive the highest quality care.
Attend monthly Division meetings and attend medical staff meetings and faculty meetings as appropriate.
The Division of Neonatology will support your participation in the annual ECMO training course that is offered to incoming ICU fellows.
The Division of Neonatology would welcome and support your participation in ongoing quality improvement and clinical research activities of the division.
Participate in fellows conferences and didactic lectures for nurse practitioners at Emory.
Maintain Georgia state licensure, DEA certification, and appropriate facility privileges.
