Job Summary: • Provides outpatient medical care to pediatric patients from newborn to adolescence in a Rural Health Provider Shortage area

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats children for Well and Sick visits with appropriate medical, diagnostic and treatment skills. 
• Provides coverage to Newborn Nursey and attends to the needs of newborn babies delivered via cesarean section
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost-effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Shares 1:6 call with other pediatricians which includes Mommy calls, attending high risk deliveries, and consulting with ED for pediatric admissions

Complexity of Work:

• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Board Certified Physician MD/DO credentialed from the New York Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date.
