Northwell Health Otolaryngology is a premier clinical and academic department comprised of hospital-based faculty and a large network of community providers and multidisciplinary caregivers. Northwell Health, New York State’s largest health care provider and private employer, is a dynamic place to practice and maintains a true dedication to its academic mission. We value insights and education from thought-leaders to ensure quality, compassionate care while maintaining a focus on innovation, research, and education.
As we continue to grow and expand, The Division of Head and Neck Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology at Northwell Health, in conjunction with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is seeking a BC/BE Otolaryngologist/Surgeon-Scientist with fellowship training in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and research experience to join our very busy and robust Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Team and Multidisciplinary Head and Neck Oncology Program. The position is based in the Queens /Long Island region of the Northwell Health System. The successful candidate will have training and expertise in the management of head and neck oncologic disease appropriate for academic tertiary level care. Commitment to academic scholarship and development of a basic science/translational research program is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have track record of research publications and previously or actively funded research. Academic rank in the Zucker School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience, and candidates will be expected to participate in the training of residents and students. The department of Otolaryngology at Long Island Jewish consistently ranked in the top 50 programs nationally in Otolaryngology in US News and World Report for the past three years and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is renowned for their translational research and is home to 5,000 researchers and staff and 3,000 clinical research studies. Northwell Health also has an affiliation with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories that encourages collaboration between scientists with common translational human cancer research interests.
This expansion is part of a larger strategy in collaboration with the Northwell Health Cancer Institute and the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research. Together, we work towards our mission to empower all populations, to contribute to society via research and clinical trials, and to extend and improve the lives of the patients we seek to serve. Candidates interested in advancing the clinical and academic productivity and goals of Northwell Health Otolaryngology should send a cover letter and CV to
