Overview

Physician (Neurologist): St. Luke's Health System, Ltd. seeks Physician (Neurologist). Job site is located at St. Luke's Clinic-Neurology, 125 E. Idaho St. Suite 300, Boise ID 83712.

The position requires an M.D. or Foreign Equivalent (MBBS). Must have license to practice medicine in the State of Idaho, current unrestricted DEA permit, and current board certification in Neurology.

As needed travel to additional locations within 9 miles of principal worksite:

St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, 190 E. Bannock, Boise, ID 83712 (Ada County)

St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center, 520 S. Eagle Road, Meridian, ID 83642 (Ada County)

Job Duties: Diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and disorders of the nervous system. Take patients medical history. Accept patient referrals and render professional neurology services, consistent with clinical privileges, training, and scope of practice. Neurological consults in patient care involving diagnosis & treatment of all categories of diseases, involving essential & peripheral nervous system & related neurological systems. Complete and update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments; Order tests for nurses and other healthcare staff to perform; review test results to identify any abnormal findings; recommend and design treatment plans; address concerns and/or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being; and help patients take care of their health by providing information and discussing topics such as preventative care, hygiene, proper nutrition, diet and exercise, etc. Assist and support strategic planning and initiatives; participation in committees; and collaborative work with other specialty groups to promote improved care delivery; Provide Administrative Research Duties as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator or other administrative capacity if engaged in medical research and shall maintain current CITI training certification.
