Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Department of Medicine/Division of Transplant Nephrology, and the Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center Kidney Transplant Program are seeking an additional Board Certified Transplant Nephrologist to join its growing group located in Maywood, Illinois.

Loyola University's Transplant Nephrology Division currently consists of four Transplant Nephrologists and three APNs. The transplant program has demonstrated extraordinary annual growth, and it is a CMS/UNOS certified program and a member in good standing for liver, kidney, and pancreas transplantation.

The Kidney Transplant Program at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital is only the 8th VA Kidney Transplant Program in the country. The Transplant program has grown beyond expectations in the first year of operations. Currently, there is one Transplant Nephrologist and one APN. An Academic-oriented faculty member is needed as the programs continues to expand.

This position will be split between the Loyola Transplant Program and the Hines VA Transplant program. As such, the ideal candidate should have expertise in all areas of Renal Transplantation with a commitment to research and education. The role of the Transplant Nephrologist includes both inpatient and outpatient management of post-transplant recipients in all solid organs. The position requires active participation in the growth of both programs. Candidates must be able to work with all members of the different solid organ teams and provide all necessary nephrology care to patients. Candidates must be certified in all hemodialysis modalities.

Interested candidates should be a MD or DO at the rank of Assistant or Associate, and Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nephrology.
