ChristianaCare is looking to hire a full time Board-Certified/ Board Eligible Nuclear Medicine Physician to practice dedicated Nuclear Medicine at our Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Job Requirements:
- Interested in clinical nuclear medicine as well as teaching cardiology fellows, radiology residents, medical students and nuclear medicine technology students.
- Experience in advanced therapeutics not required, but strong interest preferred.
- Clinical experience in interpreting attenuation correction CT scans.
- Currently holding or willing to obtain a Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

Clinical Position Details:
The successful candidate will join our full-time dedicated nuclear medicine physicians in the Section of Nuclear Medicine, Department of Radiology. This individual will be involved in a wide variety of general nuclear medicine imaging studies and utilize PET/CT and SPECT/CT cameras, multiple SPECT scanners, and solid-state cameras.
Our nuclear medicine team provides comprehensive PET/CT services including F-18 piflufolastat (PSMA) and Cu-64/Ga-68 Dotatate as well as general nuclear medicine studies including whole gut transit, salivary gland imaging, in vivo procedures such as blood volume and renal GFR studies, and DXA scans.
ChristianaCare has a strong emphasis on nuclear cardiology and our physicians interpret a variety of nuclear cardiology scans including SPECT and PET/CT stress perfusion, PET/CT cardiac viability, PET/CT cardiac sarcoidosis and amyloid PYP studies.
Our physicians routinely perform multiple therapies including Lu-177 Dotatate, liver-directed therapy with both glass and resin Y-90 microspheres, I-131 NaI, Ra-223 dichloride and Sr-89 chloride. A Lu-177 PSMA therapy program is currently being planned.
ChristianaCare nuclear medicine has been recently designated a Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.
The group also participates in various tumor boards and provides nuclear oncologic consultations as part of multidisciplinary teams at ChristianaCare's Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute, one of a select group of research centers in the country that participate in the National Cancer Institute's Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP).
