Marshfield Clinic is seeking an Interim Associate Chief Medical Officer (ACMO). Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the ACMO will work at the direction of the CMO in ensuring the success of care delivery throughout the organization.
The interim role is expected to last into March 2023, at which point it is anticipated the individual would become the CMO.
The CMO, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Care Delivery, has a responsibility for physician and professional operations throughout the system. This role plays a critical leadership role in transforming the care model according to the overall vision of a value-based, clinically integrated system committed to care delivery that is patient-centered, efficient, effective, equitable, timely and safe.
ACMO candidates will be expected to maintain an active practice within the Marshfield Clinic Health System. This position is full-time and will have a 0.8 - 0.9 administrative FTE along with a corresponding 0.1 - 0.2 clinical FTE. The CMO position allows up to 10% clinical activity.
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) with an active unrestricted license to practice medicine. Must be board certified in their specialty.
Preferred/Optional: Master's degree in Health Administration (M.H.A.), Business Administration (M.B.A.) or Public health (M.P.H.). If the applicant does not yet hold one of these degrees, then plans will need to be put in place to pursue the degree.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Five years of medical practice experience in addition to four years of leadership experience in the health care industry at the medical director level or higher.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: State of Wisconsin license to Practice Medicine and Surgery. If currently licensed in another state, a Wisconsin license must be obtained as soon as possible. Board certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Medical Specialties (AOBMS).
