Clinical practice will be focused on general surgery procedures, such as cholecystectomy, complex abdominal wall reconstruction, herniorrhaphy, and minimally invasive surgery, as well as inpatient and outpatient care of general surgery patients. The candidate may also be expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded clinical, translational, basic science, and/or health services outcomes research program. The candidate will contribute to medical education of General Surgery residents.
Qualified candidates must (1) be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Surgery; (2) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in their respective area of practice, and (3) be able to obtain permanent Illinois licensure.
