Job Description

Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist

Full Time * Hybrid * New York

In the Behavioral Health Department at Westmed Summit Health we employ a short-term model to treat pediatric patients with both psychiatry and high level Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Our therapists undergo an intensive 12-month training and supervision program to make them competent in CBT. We treat a range of psychiatric conditions while working closely with our pediatricians and family medicine providers. We support these providers thru education and consultation to help them co-manage their patients' medications with us. We also utilize 3rd party vendors to navigate patients who may need longer-term care or cannot be managed by referring providers.

The newly hired pediatric psychiatrist will provide direct short-term patient care to patients referred by pediatric and family medicine providers. Treatment will be both by telehealth and in-person visits. They will complete psychiatric consultations from referring physicians/providers and support them in managing psychiatric medications in the primary care setting.

Successful candidates must be a NY licensed Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist.

Compensation Range: $225,000-$275,000

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures and location of position.
