Baylor Scott & White Health McLane Children's Medical Center is conducting a national search for a PRN Pediatric Neurologist to join our team in Central Texas. An ideal candidate can address a child’s unique needs, which includes comprehensive and collaborative neurological care for children. The successful candidate is ready to offer advanced treatment of neurological conditions in kids, from headaches and tumors to epilepsy and sleep disorders.
Position Highlights
Candidate will join three other pediatric neurologists and three neurology nurse practitioners
Provides inpatient services at McLane Children’s Hospital and outpatient services at Temple and outreach sites
Expected to share outpatient pediatric neurologic services to one or two outreach sites with other providers (average 2 days in a month)
Expected to instruct medical students, residents and adult neurology fellows from University of Texas A & M
Opportunity to become faculty at University of Texas A & M at different ranks based on experience and qualification
Additional training in pediatric neuromuscular medicine or training in Neuro-Developmental Disorders (NDD) is preferred but is not mandatory.
About McLane Children’s Medical Center
Our five-story McLane Children's Specialty Clinic is located next to our free-standing Children's Hospital in Temple, Texas. The hospital features include112 patient beds: forty-eight private medical/surgical rooms, sixteen private Pediatric ICU rooms and a 24-hour, level II pediatric emergency department and verified trauma center equipped to deal with the most serious pediatric trauma cases. A level IV, forty-eight bed Neonatal ICU is located nearby on the main BSWMC, Temple campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate Degree in Medicine
- Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
- Where Applicable - Employee shall be currently board certified in his or her speciality or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
