UVA Health is looking for a compassionate, caring, board eligible/board certified Psychiatrist to join our burgeoning behavioral health team. For more than two decades, the Prince William County community has relied on the providers at UVA Prince William Medical Center to provide remarkable inpatient adult psychiatric care. Our 30 bed inpatient hospitalization program provides advanced care for patients with acute severe mental illness, geriatric inpatient services and ECT. Other notable features include state-of-the-art comfort rooms for relaxation and a tranquility garden that promotes environmental health.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Intake process.
• Initial visits/psychiatric evaluations.
• Psychotherapy treatments.
• Psychological testing.
• Psychiatric medication management services.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required
• Completion of an accredited residency program required
• For specialty physicians - completion of an accredited fellowship program specific to medical specialty

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current MD license in appropriate state
• Board certification or eligibility
• Current DEA license required
