Position Summary
Pediatric Psychologist with specialization in Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive, and Habit Disorders
Phoenix Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Psychologist to join the professional staff of the Division of Psychology.
Successful candidates will have specialized training in the evidence-based assessment and intervention of anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and habit disorders including exposure and response prevention and cognitive behavioral interventions for tics (CBIT). We are seeking someone to develop innovative models of care that allow us to effectively scale our psychosocial interventions. Additional expertise in school-based interventions is desirable, but not required. The candidate may participate in collaborative research and must develop strong working relationships with our growing group of behavioral health colleagues and community partners. Lastly, an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, inclusion, and respect for diversity is vital.
The psychologist will become a member of the Phoenix Children’s Medical Group and will report to the Division Chief of Psychology. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Psychology and will join a growing team of 19 Psychologists and 35 Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Professionalism, leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and adaptability are essential. Active involvement in our APA accredited psychology internship and fellowship programs is expected, as is participation in the education of medical learners. Academic appointments are strongly encouraged through our relationships with University of Arizona-Phoenix College of Medicine, Creighton University School of Medicine, and Mayo School of Medicine.
The Staff Psychologist shall provide patient care services and will support the PCH mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families.
Education
- Doctoral degree from an APA accredited program. (Required)
Certifications
- Current Arizona License to Practice Medicine or the ability to obtain prior to start date. (Required)
- Board certified/Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty. (Required)

- The ability to move freely from facility to facility, as well as, the ability to move freely throughout facilities and examine patients. (Required)
