Our main Cardiac facility within Kaiser and location of our interventional catheterization lab is at KP Los Angeles Medical Center with whom we have ready access and collaboration. Finally, we play an active role in training the next generation of physicians both in teaching resident physicians and as a designated clerkship site for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. About the area
SCPMG San Bernardino County(Fontana) serves a population in the northeastern section of the LA Basin that's as diverse topographically as culturally. High-desert hiking, skiing at Big Bear, water-skiing on Lake Arrowhead, and mountain biking on Mt. Baldy are all close by--as are very affordable options for home-buying. Physicians and staff members enjoy the seasons, with fall colors and prominent views of snow-capped mountains. The area also offers a variety of dining, entertainment, and cultural options.
The Orange County area is one of the most sought-after communities on the west coast. Located along the Pacific Ocean, the weather enables year-round outdoor recreation, and there's easy access to great cuisine, the arts, professional sports, and culturally diverse events. It's close to big cities to its north and south, but without the traffic and other issues that big cities present. The area has a great variety of housing options: near the ocean, in open space amongst foothills, and in urban settings.
Cultivated over a 70-year history--the region's oldest--San Bernardino County's culture is one of teamwork, respect, integrity, and diversity. Despite its longevity, our area is characterized by growth: nearly 500 new physicians have come aboard in the past five years from around the county, infusing the area with a dynamic, youthful energy and fresh ideas. San Bernardino County is also one the region's largest centers, with two new hospitals and a wide range of services. Its breadth and depth offer physicians a myriad of opportunities for leadership, specializing, academic pursuits, social activities, and provide a high level of professional support. Wellness and life balance are actively promoted; the area's nurturing, family environment fosters good health--mental and physical--further enabling its team to contribute to the diverse San Bernardino County community.
SCPMG Orange County is characterized by a deeply ingrained culture of teamwork, collaboration, and collegiality that cuts across specialties and departments. Driven by a dynamic, transparent leadership team, physician involvement is a key focus, enabling constant improvement and fueling a desire to sustainably provide affordable, high-quality care. Our deep clinical talent pool affords a wealth of consultative support from specialists and subspecialists. We place a strong emphasis on physician wellness: protecting our physicians, mentally and physically, is viewed as critical for reaching our goals. Opportunities for connecting abound, through formal and informal events and programs, and special events that are unique to Orange County. We actively help new hires to acclimate, integrate, and ultimately, bond--thereby furthering physician involvement and clinical expertise, and creating a breeding ground for the next leaders.
