Summary:
The Department of Medicine at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York is seeking a Program Director for the Internal Medicine Training Program. Westchester Medical Center is the major teaching hospital for New York Medical College. The Department is enjoying tremendous growth under the leadership of the Director, the Department of Medicine. The residency program has 65 categorical Internal Medicine residents as well as 14 non-categorical interns from the Anesthesia and Neurology departments.
Job Summary:
The candidate must be an innovative thinker, have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to partner with all stakeholders to advance the program, demonstrated excellence in medical education and documented effectiveness in program development. This is a hospital-based position with comprehensive benefits, including malpractice and an academic appointment with New York Medical College. This role has at least 50% FTE allocated for administrative efforts in Program Leadership.
Qualifications / Requirements:
The candidate mustbeBoard Certified in Internal Medicine and have a minimum of 3 years of experience within an educational program.
