Nashville, Tennessee:  PathGroup/Associated Pathologists is looking for a clinical pathologist. The responsibilities of this position include coverage of clinical pathology professional services: electrophoresis, peripheral smear review, and clinical pathology consultations.  In addition, the candidate will provide input and guidance to the laboratory operations team in areas of menu diversification, platform selection, and test implementation ensuring that all laboratory procedures comply with regulatory requirements.  In addition, the role involves interest in quality and safety management programs in the laboratory setting along with participation in related committees.

Additional duties may include occasional coverage of the molecular pathology and/or hematopathology services depending on background, training, and interest.

The hub of our practice is our central laboratory, a 160,000-square foot facility located near the airport in Nashville, TN.  This hub houses a state-of-the-art, high volume, and high-throughput clinical and molecular pathology reference laboratory along with a talented medical and scientific team.  Associated Pathologists is a growth-oriented company with a robust managerial team and a rich history of over 50 years of an independent practice. The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Board certification in Clinical Pathology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology or Molecular Pathology is a plus but not required.
• Must be eligible for or currently possess a valid Tennessee Medical License.
